Thanks to the response from his fans, Toby Keith has added another show to his previously announced two-night run in Las Vegas. The 62-year-old recently announced that he was returning to performing, after being diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2022, with back-to-back shows on December 10 and 11, at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
After both nights quickly sold out, becoming one of the fastest-selling events in the venue’s history, Keith has added one final show, on December 14.
“The response to these shows has got me all fired up,” Keith said, “We’re gonna do one last show on in Vegas. This will be the only show we add on this Las Vegas run. I’m fired up for these three shows and clearly you are, too.”
When announcing his return to the stage, the Oklahoma native said he was ready to mark his return to performing, with the two Las Vegas shows.
“Y’all been waiting a long time to hear this,” Keith said when announcing the Las Vegas shows. “I’ve been waiting a long time to do this. I’m back, come see me. You’ll have the best time, I will too. We’ll never forget it. Can’t wait to see you there. Let’s go.”
Keith also shared the news of his Las Vegas shows, in a video he posted on YouTube.
“You know what I’ve been doing,” Keith said at the time. “I’ve been on the ol’ roller coaster. But Almighty’s riding shotgun. He’s letting me drive. I’m making a big announcement. I’m doing a little deal — I thought I’d start in the great Las Vegas … I was going to sit around here and do nothing like I have been, or get up and go outside and ‘Don’t Let The Old Man In.”
The live version of “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” first released in 2018, is Keith’s current single. The song began climbing the charts after his performance at the recent People’s Choice Country Awards, where he was also awarded the Country Icon Award, presented to him by Blake Shelton. The song stayed in the No. 1 spot on iTunes for two weeks following his performance.
