Tyler Farr’s Wife Hannah Gives Birth 6 Weeks Early Due to Complications

Tyler Farr is a dad! The singer-songwriter and his wife, Hannah, welcomed their first child together, daughter Hollis Caroline, on Wednesday, January 27. The baby was born six weeks early after Hannah began having complications, including preeclampsia. Hollis weighed 4lbs., 12 oz. when she was born, and measured 19 1/2 inches long.

“After some complications, we are excited and shocked that she is here six weeks early!” the couple said in a joint statement to People.

Farr shared the good news on social media, along with a photo of his new baby girl.

Hannah, an ICU nurse, also spoke out about their daughter’s early arrival, sharing that Hollis was doing well and would likely be able to go home soon.

“What a whirlwind it has been!” Hannah said. “Still in shock and trying to process everything that’s taken place since Sunday! We are so happy and shocked to announce the arrival (6 weeks early) of our sweet baby girl!  I got admitted to the hospital Sunday with preeclampsia and everything progressed rapidly! She is doing well in the NICU and we can’t wait to bring her home! Thanks for all the prayers & sweet messages!”

“Good thing we already had her name picked out!” she added. “Now to finish the rest as we were not prepared to have her here so early!”

The Farrs said that Hollis is “spending time in the [neonatal intensive care unit], but doing well.”

Farr and Hannah married in October of 2016, although Farr admits he wasn’t sure he would ever tie the knot, at least until he met Hannah.

I’ve only had a few serious relationships in my life and I was not expecting to fall off the deep end when I met her,” Farr previously said. “But when I first began spending time with her, it was just over. I just knew. She is probably the kindest person I’ve ever met.”

Farr’s latest album, Only Truck in Town, was produced by Jason Aldean
