Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and More to Appear on Charlie Daniels Duets Album

Almost a year after Charlie Daniels tragically passed away, a new 19-track album is slated to be released, honoring the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s enduring legacy. Charlie Daniels & Friends – Duets will be released on July 16, a star-studded record that includes duets with Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and more.

“It goes without saying that it’s been a rough year for my mom and I, our CDB family and dad’s fans,” Daniels’ son, Charlie Daniels Jr. says. “But his music will live on forever, and we’re happy that this Duets collection will add to his legacy.”

“The process of putting this project together was a wonderful time of reflection and it became an overwhelming reminder of how great these tracks are,” adds Blue Hat Records president and Daniels’ longtime manager David Corlew. “The best of the best joined Charlie in sharing musical styles and great songs. Thanks to all who participated in honoring Charlie.”

Daniels will be remembered with a special tribute show, 2021 Volunteer Jam: A Musical Salute to Charlie Daniels, taking place on August 16 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Randy TravisChris Young, the Marshall Tucker Band, Alabama, Ricky Skaggs,  Larry, Steve & Rudy: The Gatlin Brothers, CeCe Winans, Gretchen Wilson and more are slated to perform.
