Blake Shelton Announces Back to the Honky Tonk Tour With Carly Pearce

Blake Shelton is heading out on tour in 2023, with Carly Pearce and newcomer Jackson Dean. Shelton will embark on his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour on February 16 in Lincoln, Nebraska, performing in a total of 18 cities, including Knoxville, Jacksonville, Birmingham and more, wrapping up on March 25 in Buffalo, New York.

“There’s nothing like getting out on the road and taking music to the fans,” Shelton says. “I feel just as excited to step on stage and perform as I did the very first time. I know my tour mates Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean feel the same, and I can’t wait for y’all to get to know them better. Break out the hats and boots, ‘cause we’re going back to the honky tonk!”

Shelton also announced the news on social media.

The news comes as Shelton was, surprisingly, left off of this year’s list of CMA Awards nominees, for the third year in a row. Pearce fared much better, earning a total of five nominations, including for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Shelton just dropped a new single, “No Body,” as well as a new video, featuring the return of his infamous mullet.

“I get excited and feel like a kid every time we release new music,” Shelton says of his latest single, which is from a forthcoming new album. “But this song in particular takes me back to the ‘90s when I was in high school and first moved to Nashville, because it feels like what the music sounded like at that time.”

Shelton will also return for Season 22 of  The Voice, with Jimmie Allen serving as his Battle Round Advisor.

“We’ve met on occasion at awards shows and music industry events, but literally nothing more than, ‘Hey, how you doing, good to meet you,’” Shelton tells Access, speaking of his friendship with Allen. “I’ve watched him. I’ve watched his career develop. I’ve seen him on all the awards shows and stuff.

“He is just an incredible performer,” he adds, “and he is so focused on what he does and he is clearly just a huge fan of music.”
