Davis has continued to release music, including his sweet love song, “Fell For You,” out last month, and “See You In It,” which landed in the Top 30 when it was released. And chances are, Davis is going to have a lot more music to share with the world in the near future as well.

“It’s going on three years now,” Davis reflected to Everything Nash. “It’s insane to think about, ’cause it really doesn’t feel that way. When you start looking back at what all we’ve done, and where all we’ve been, what we’ve released and who we’ve met, I can remember every single encounter, every single moment, like it was yesterday. Yet here we are, well over three batches of 365 days of those yesterdays later, and it’s just insane.

“It’s insane, where all it’s carried us and what all we’ve gotten to do, and who all we’ve gotten to meet,” he continued. “The songs that have been written, the people that have been reached, and we want to keep doing it. I want to keep reaching you all through these stories, through these songs. There are so many more stories to tell, and it’s exciting to get to share them with you.”

The father of four credits his wife, Destiny, with encouraging him to pursue music, instead of keeping his steady job, with a steady paycheck, after he was injured in a near-fatal car crash. It was Destiny who reminded him that better days were ahead of him, and gave him the courage to pursue his passion, even if he was uncertain about his future.

“At the time I didn’t see it, and my wife kept telling me over and over again, ‘Look, I know you don’t understand right now and you won’t, but one day you will,” Davis recalled to Everything Nash. “And whenever I look out from the stage and we’re playing these songs, and we’re going to these different shows in different states and meeting all these new people, I start to understand it.

“There is so much that, if I hadn’t had that one moment to really put a fork in the road and say, ‘Look, you can either keep going this way or there’s a fun new direction we can go and start this,'” he added. “If I hadn’t taken that fun new direction and really gave my life a chance to grow in a different way, then I wouldn’t be here.”

Davis will perform in June as part of the Country For A Cause benefit concert, alongside  Jake HootWade Hayes, Moe Bandy, John Conlee, Terry McBride, Elizabeth Cook, Leon Everette, Paulette Carlson, Devon O’Day, Makenzie Phipps and more.
