Resorts World Las Vegas AEG Presents Las Vegas #CUinVegas #2024

Posted by Carrie Underwood on Wednesday, September 13, 2023

Underwood already extended her residency earlier this year, due to fan demand. The show originally began in 2021, with the American Idol  alum fashioning the experience after two of her biggest musical heroes, namely Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire,

“Sharing a legacy of putting on proper shows that, like Dolly’s and Reba’s, are extra — meaning filled with more of the glitz, glamour, extravagant wardrobe and staging that’s a part of our lives already — and tell a full, emotion and vibe-driven story with a beginning, middle and end,” Underwood told The Tennessean. “I’m not just showing up and singing. Instead, I’m immersing the audience in song.”

Underwood also just returned for her 11th season singing “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night,” the theme song for Sunday Night Football.

“Once again, the incredible Sunday Night Football team came up with a fresh, exciting visual concept that really gave us a chance to play,” Underwood said of the updated version of the anthemic tune. “I loved shooting the show open again this year at our home away from home, The Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, and can’t wait for another season of football!”

Underwood recently released “Give Her That,” from her Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) album, out on September 22. The song was written by Underwood, David Garcia and Lydia Vaughn.

“‘Give Her That’ is a story about a relationship that is no longer,” Underwood explained. “The person’s kind of moved on, and it’s like, ‘I see who you’re with. She’s beautiful, she’s perfect. I’ll give her that. But you can’t give her the time that we spend together.’ And I feel like everybody’s kind of got some of that in their lives. If you’re stalking somebody on socials or something like that, they’re like, ‘Oh, they’ve moved on. Of course. Really glad for them. That’s great,’ but I haven’t.”
