Carrie Underwood isn’t ready to bid farewell to the Denim & Rhinestones era. The American Idol alum announces the release of Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition), out on September 22. The new version will have six new songs added to the original record, which came out ln June of 2022, including her current single, “Out Of That Truck,” and “Take Me Out,” which Underwood just dropped.
Underwood announced the news on social media.

“Out Of That Truck” was written by Underwood, along with Lydia Vaughn and David Garcia.
“‘Out Of That Truck,’ it was inevitable, I guess. I knew that someday I’d have a truck song,” Underwood said in a video shared on social media.
“It was like having this memory, nostalgic kind of song where it’s like, you can’t get over somebody, but it’s because of all the physical marks that you left in the space, that you left in a space, a truck,” she added. “Nail polish on the tailgate, dings on the door.”
Not only does Underwood have a new album coming out, but she also now has her own radio station. Carrie’s Country was launched on Friday, June 9, on channel 60 on SiriusXM.

“So far I’ve been very involved,” Underwood told SiriusXM of Carrie’s Country. “Building out the library and everything has been a lot of fun. It is Carrie’s Country, but it’s so much more than that. We’ll obviously play my stuff, stories behind the songs — I’ve already recorded a lot of those.”
The Grand Ole Opry member is including plenty of other music, besides just country, on Carrie’s Country.
“It’s me, it’s new country, it’s classic country, stuff I grew up listening to. I have rock … and hopefully all the rock stuff is people that I obviously have worked with or have covered, but also a lot of country adjacent type things. Like Rolling Stones; I don’t know if they knew how twangy they are. So people like that, hopefully all country listeners will enjoy it, and enjoy maybe discovering new songs. We have some hard rock blocks.”
