Celebrate International Bacon Day and Help End Childhood Hunger at Snooze

Snooze, an a.m Eatery, one of Nashville’s favorite breakfast and brunch spots, is celebrating International Bacon Day, which falls on September 3 this year, while helping end childhood hunger. The restaurant, located at 969 Main Street in East Nashville, is offering two bacon specials, both The Graceland Pancake and the Bacon and Eggs Pancake, with 100 percent of the proceeds from those two items going to No Kid Hungry, an organization aimed at ending childhood hunger in the United States.

The Graceland Pancake, inspired by the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, is filled with banana slices, and topped with peanut butter cream, caramel sauce, whipped butter and a generous amount of smoky chopped bacon.

The Bacon and Eggs Pancake was inspired by an employee at Snooze’s Orange, California location. This savory pancake is filled with chopped bacon and cheddar cheese, and topped with a crispy sunny-side-up egg, even more chopped bacon and a maple black pepper syrup.

While the two specialty pancakes are only available until September 7, Snooze also has plenty of options for year-round bacon lovers, including their popular Snooze Signature Bacon Flight. The shareable plate includes their House Bacon, Bacon But Different, Maple and Black Pepper Glazed Bacon and Habanero Pork Belly.

In addition to decadent bacon dishes, Snooze has a plethora of other items to enjoy, including sandwiches, breakfast burritos, french toast and more. Snooze also offers vegan and gluten-free options, as well as a bar and coffee drinks.

“When we say we do ‘Breakfast but different,’ we aren’t just talking about our creative takes on pancakes,” says David Birzon, Snooze CEO, said when the Nashville location opened. “That also extends to how we source our food, treat our Snoozers (a.k.a. employees), tackle environmental initiatives, and give back to our communities. We are thrilled to join the vibrant East Nashville neighborhood and to become a part of this incredible city.”
