Dolly Parton is once again expanding her business empire, this time with pets! The 76-year-old announces the launch of Doggy Parton, in partnership with SportPet Designs. A portion of the proceeds raised through the pet apparel and accessories line will go to support the animal rescue, Willa B. Farms,
“Puppy Love was my very first record and six decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever,” Parton shares. “This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair.’ Part of the proceeds will support Willa B Farms, a rescue where animals in need find never-ending love. Don’t we all need that?’”
The Country Music Hall of Fame member’s other business ventures include her Dollywood theme park, her Scent From Above fragrance line, her recent Run, Rose Run novel, which is also being turned into a movie, her own Duncan Hines line of cakes and more. With all she has going on, Parton says she is still always looking for other ways to expand her name and brand.
“I have no plans of slowing down because the number says I should,” Parton says (via WKRN). “I don’t pay attention to that. I wake up with new dreams every day. I try to make the most of every year that I’ve lived. I’ve been doing that since I was little. I’ll be doing it until I keel over. Hopefully that won’t be anytime soon.”
Parton also recently announced her star-studded Mountain Magic Christmas TV movie, airing this holiday season on NBC. Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tom Everett Scott, Ana Gasteyer and more will appear in the movie. Zach Williams and Jimmie Allen will also appear as guest stars.
