Gary LeVox Releases Faith-Based ‘One on One’ Album

Gary LeVox‘s first solo project is out! The faith-based record, One on One, was released on Friday, May 21, marking his debut as a solo artist, after 20 years with Rascal Flatts.

“My passion project is finally here and I couldn’t be more proud of it,” LeVox says. “I got to sing and work with some of my favorite people and some of the most talented artists I know. I hope people enjoy it as much as I loved creating it.”

The 50-year-old teamed up with MercyMe, Jonathan McReynolds, BRELAND, and his own daughter, Brittany LeVox, on the songs on One on One.

“She’s really got the goods. She can really sing. She outsings her dad,” LeVox boasted of his daughter (via Country Now), adding, ““I had told Brittany a bunch of times, ‘I’m gonna put you on a record.’ … There’s just no better feeling than to watch your daughter do something that she loves and you feel like you’ve had a little hand in it. You know, that what I’ve done my whole life has inspired her to wanna do the same thing. It’s just — it’s hard for me not to cry through the whole thing.”

LeVox also spoke out about One on One on social media.

“FINALLY!!! Let’s go fans,” he tweeted. “ONE ON ONE is out TODAY and I’m so hyped I can’t stand it. New music for the world’s greatest fans that appeals to me and allows me to sing about my faith and spread that message musically.”

LeVox previously said he was eager to sing not just the country songs he has been known for, but songs about his faith as well.

“I think anytime I get to sing about Jesus, it kind of takes me to a different place,” LeVox said on a recent episode of Land of the BRE Radio on Apple Music Country. “Country music and gospel are just like siblings. It’s always been there. Even back from Elvis – I mean, he was doing it. As Rascal Flatts, I’ve always snuck faith in there in some way, with ‘Broken Road,’ or ‘My Wish,’ or that kind of thing. So I’ve always tried to sneak it in, even if people didn’t know what I was trying to do, I was really trying to sneak a little Jesus.”
