Home Free’s Tim Foust Drops Solo ‘Since I Don’t Have You’ [WATCH]

Home Free‘s Tim Foust has dropped another solo song, this one, “Since I Don’t Have You.” The song is from Foust’s latest Doo-wop album, Pieces of Me, Vol. 1, out now. The song, which was first released by The Skyliners in 1959, features Foust singing all of the parts on the ambitious track.

“This is one of 12 all me, all a cappella Doo-wop songs, available on an album called Pieces of Me, Vol. 1,” Foust shares when the video ends.

The multi-octave singer has been busy with Home Free, but he also has been enjoying releasing his own music, a somewhat fortunate silver lining to Home Free being forced off of the road due to the pandemic.

“Like everybody else, I found myself stuck at home indefinitely this last year, so I decided to capitalize on that unforeseen free time as much as possible,” Foust previously told Willy 98.7. “We’ve been aggressively recording in Home Free, and then on top of that, I started recording some of these songs that I had written, that hadn’t found a home anywhere else. I just decided to release them myself, so I started a Patreon campaign.

“I’ve been releasing everything exclusively to Patreon for now,” he added at the time, ahead of the release of Pieces of Me, Vol. 1. “But I’ll be releasing a solo album later this year, and I’ll put singles out on the various streaming sites as well.”

Foust also shared at the end of his “Since I Don’t Have You” video more information on Sweet+Low, his new duo with fellow Home Free member, Austin Brown. Foust announced their new venture while performing at City Winery as part of his Birthday Bash musical celebration.

“We have officially formed a new band. You are looking at it, and it’s called Sweet + Low Music Co., or Sweet + Low for short, ’cause they’re sweet, and you can guess which part I am,” Foust said in July. “It’s something that organically kind of happened. Austin and I have been doing more and more of these matches together, and we had been talking about doing something together outside of Home Free, especially after how well ‘My Maria‘ did. We said, ‘Let’s just do a duo.’ We’re both here in Nashville. We’ve both still got a little bit of hustle left in us.”
