Jake Hoot to Perform Benefit Show For Cookeville’s The Exceptional Bean

Jake Hoot is lending his time and talents for a worthwhile cause. The Season 17 winner of The Voice will perform a benefit show on February 18, supporting The Exceptional Bean, a coffee shop in Cookeville, Tennessee, located about 80 miles outside of Nashville, which employs individuals with various disabilities.

“I am so excited to get the opportunity to play some tunes to help raise money for The Exceptional Bean,” Hoot announces via Facebook  “It is incredible to see what they have accomplished and how many lives they are changing, it truly feels like an honor to be a part of it!”

Hoot also reveals that he has a personal reason for wanting to support The Exceptional Bean and their mission.

“I have a brother-in-law who has Down syndrome, and the fact that The Exceptional Bean employs individuals with disabilities, makes their cause something so close to my heart!” Hoot shares. “I hope to see a lot of people in the Upper Cumberland and surrounding communities come out to support this organization! Can’t wait to see you 2/18/23 and be a part of something that is changing lives together!”

According to The Exceptional Bean’s website. their goal is to “provide employment opportunities in a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities” and to “cultivate a community of inclusivity where all members have purpose and value.”

Hoot and his wife Brittney welcomed their first child together, daughter Madilyn Bri, in July. Hoot was already a father to his daughter Macy from a previous relationship. In October, the 34-year-old released the romantic song, “B4U.”

“It’s kind of in the same vein of ‘God Bless the Broken Road,’” Hoot said of the song. “You’re talking to your significant other, telling them, basically, ‘Hey, before you I thought I knew all this stuff. I thought I knew what good love was. I thought all these things were right, but I realized how right it is to be with you now.’ So it’s a song called ‘B4U.’ It’s a very good little love song … I’m very, very proud of this song. It’s one of my favorite love songs I have been a part of.”

Hoot’s show will take place at Duck Pond Manor, in nearby Sparta, Tennessee. Ticket information will be announced shortly. Tables of eight will be available for purchase, along with a select number of individual tickets.

The Exceptional Bean, a non-profit, is located at 55 North Walnut Avenue in Cookeville, Tennessee.  More information is available here. Find all of Hoot’s music and tour dates at JakeHoot.com.
