Jake Hoot‘s romantic new song, “B4U” is out! The song was written by Hoot, along with Kylie Sackley and Grant Vogel, with Vogel also producing the track.
Hoot has been teasing the song on social media, a song that he says is perfect for this time of year.
“It’s a great love song, just in time for the holidays. For those of you all who are looking for a love song for the holidays, this is it,” Hoot said in a video posted on Facebook ahead of the song’s release.
Hoot compares the song to one of Rascal Flatts‘ biggest hits, celebrating finding love after years of wrong relationships.
“It’s kind of in the same vein of ‘God Bless the Broken Road,'” Hoot explains. “You’re talking to your significant other, telling them, basically, ‘Hey, before you I thought I knew all this stuff. I thought I knew what good love was. I thought all these things were right, but I realized how right it is to be with you now.’ So it’s a song called ‘B4U.’ It’s a very good little love song … I’m very, very proud of this song. It’s one of my favorite love songs I have been a part of.”
The Season 17 winner of The Voice just welcomed his second child, Madilyn Bri, earlier this year, with his wife, Brittney. The baby is a little sister to Macy, Hoot’s daughter from a previous relationship. Hoot also took the time to update fans on how the two-month-old-is doing.
“The baby is good,” he said, while rocking her in his arms. “She is currently passed out. She’s a very mild and relaxed baby. Whenever she sleeps on you, she grabs a hold of your shirt, I guess to make sure you don’t put her down while she’s sleeping. She is a daddy’s girl, just as Macy is.”
Hoot has been busy releasing music throughout 2022. The 34-year-old released another love song, his “Wherever Time Goes” duet with Brittney, in March, as well as his “There’s Still Tomorrow” duet with Bri Fletcher in May. More recently, Hoot released the fun “Had It To Lose” in June.
