New music is coming from Jason Aldean! The country music hitmaker announces the release of his 13th studio album, Highway Desperado, out on November 3. The 13-track record includes his current single, “Try That In A Small Town,” the previously-released “Tough Crowd” and “Let Your Boys Be Country,” which is out now.
Aldean wrote three of the songs on Highway Desperado, with his longtime band members Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy writing several of the tracks as well. All of the songs included on Highway Desperado were recorded with Aldean thinking of his fans at his concerts.
“I think when I look back on it, I built my career early on my live show, and have been on the road touring since I was 18 years old,” Aldean reflects. “For us, touring is our favorite part. Getting on the bus and going town to town and playing our shows and doing our thing and seeing the fans… the title for the tour and album was really inspired from that.”
Aldean previously hinted that he hoped to have at least some songs that he helped write on his next set of tunes.
“[I] started jumping into the writer’s chair again a little bit, and got a few things on this album that I wrote. Some really cool stuff,” Aldean told Taste of Country Nights.
The father of four celebrated his 27th No. 1 hit last year with “Trouble With a Heartbreak,” an accomplishment that Aldean admits was hard for him to absorb.
“I’m so thankful for the career I’ve had,” Aldean said on Country Countdown USA. “You get a couple No. 1 [hits], and then there’s ten, and 20. It’s so beyond what I imagined when I started this. I hope I’ve got a few more in me, but 27, I’m extremely proud of that for sure.”
