Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, have made no secret of their support of former President Trump. The couple spent New Year’s Eve with Trump, with the singer praising Trump for his work.
“Well, this New Year’s was the best of all time,” Aldean wrote on Instagram, sharing a few photos of their getaway, which included golfing with the former leader. “I got to spend a couple days with the G.O.A.T…… this man is unbelievable and I wish [you] all could see what he does behind the scenes. #classact.”
Brittany also shared the same photo, writing, “Best New Year’s EVER. Here’s to 2022.”
The couple was joined by Aldean’s sister, Kasi Wicks, and her husband, Chuck Wicks for the celebration. Both Brittany and Wicks launched a clothing line promoting their conservative beliefs in 2021.
“I think I saw the vision of everything is going horribly right now, and it has been for a while,” Brittany said during an appearance at Americafest (via Country Now). “It’s so much bigger than us; it’s so much bigger than our generation. We have children and I think when I had children and realized, ‘Oh, this is so much bigger than all of us. We have to do what’s right, what’s important for our future children and our future generations.’ So, that’s really the main focus for me. It’s like, be strong, don’t back down and do it for your children.”
Aldean agrees with his wife, even if he knows his beliefs might not be popular with everyone.
“There’s times where I feel like I don’t have a choice but to speak up or say something because I feel nobody else in the industry, or not a lot of people in our industry do that for fear,” Aldean tells Audacy’s Rob + Holly.. “I just feel like somebody’s got to be that guy and if it’s me, then it’s fine.”
