Lady A Announces What a Song Can Do Tour With Carly Pearce + More

Lady A is ready to get back on the road. The award-winning trio, made up of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that they were embarking on their What a Song Can Do Tour, joined by Carly Pearce, Niko Moon and Tenille Arts. The 34-city tour will kick off on July 29 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and wrap up on October 10 in Gilford, New Hampshire.

“This tour is really going to be about letting our fans know how much they mean to us and what music has done for all of us over the last year…which is the essence of the tour name. We started writing a song called ‘What A Song Can Do’ and it turned into a love-letter to our fans,” Kelley says. “We are gonna soak up these moments on stage more than we ever have before. It’s gonna be hard to wipe the smiles off our faces and I’m sure the tears off of Hillary’s.

“We were lucky enough to still release new music this past year but there are songs like ‘Champagne Night’ and ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ that we haven’t been able to play live much so we know those will make for some really special moments,” he adds.

Pearce also spoke out about the tour on social media.

“I’m such a fan of [Lady A] as artists, but even more as people,” Pearce says. “I speak for all of us that we are so incredibly excited to see all of your smiling faces. JULY CANT GET HERE FAST ENOUGH!!!!”

Lady A planned on being on their Ocean Tour 2020 last year, and were devastated when the tour had to be canceled because of the pandemic.

“I felt I felt such a sadness for for a lot of reasons,” Haywood shared with Everything Nash and other outlets during a virtual media event. “All of our friends, everybody just had to kind of hit a stop on all of it. Watching our friends, we all had to cancel tours. A lot of our up and coming friends that probably had a really big touring opportunity in the pipeline had to bail on that. It was just a collective kind of sigh for all of us that some of these projects may not see the light of day as much as we wanted, based on the pandemic. It just kind of is what it is.”
