Luke Bryan Releases ‘But I Got A Beer In My Hand’ [LISTEN]

Luke Bryan‘s fun new summer single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” is out now. The song, from his 2022 Prayin’ in a Deer Stand album, follows his 30th No. 1 hit, with “Country On.”

“It’s about a guy that obviously, his girl leaves him and he’s expecting to really be down about it,” Bryan says. “Instead, he goes out, gets a beer in his hand, starts partying and life’s pretty good.”

Bryan hinted the release of the song when performing at the recent Stagecoach festival.

“It’s a big, fun summertime jam. I’m ready for everybody to have it,” Bryan teased to Audacy‘s K-Frog.

The Georgia native will have plenty of opportunities to perform “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” this summer. He will embark on his 36-city Country On Tour on June 15 in Syracuse, New York. Chayce BeckhamTyler BradenAshley CookeJackson Dean, Jon Langston, Conner Smith, Alana Springsteen, Hailey Whitters, and DJ Rock will rotate as Bryan’s opening acts for the tour.

“Artists get into the business to make music and perform it for the fans,” Bryan says. “Leaving it all out on that stage is what it’s all about for me. I’m excited to support and have so many talented new artists along for the ride this year. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of our job.”

Bryan just announced the return of his Farm Tour, which begins on September 14 in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

“The Farm Tour has grown throughout the years. The fact that we can set a stage up in a hayfield or some kind of field and people flock to it is what I envisioned when I created Farm Tour, and to obviously help some kids with scholarships and stuff like that,” Bryan says. “But the Farm Tour has grown every year, and it’s always something we look forward to,” he continues. “It’s really an exciting time to be able to just be out on a farm on a fall night.

“Sometimes it’s cool and it’s perfect jacket weather, and everybody’s just enjoying music and having fun,” he adds. “And it’s happening in these little towns that have never gotten a show like this. So, it’s always fun knowing that I leave these little towns, and they can go, ‘Hey, we got to go party out in a field and hear a bunch of Nashville country music singers roll in,’ and give them a great show. So many great memories through the years.”
