Luke Combs Announces New Single, ‘Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,’ From ‘Twisters’

Luke Combs has a new single coming out, and it’s part of an upcoming film. The father of two announces “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma” will be released on May 16, along with the video. The song is part of the soundtrack for the new Twisters movie, in theaters on July 19, the same day Twisters — The Album will be released.

Combs shared the exciting news on social media, along with a clip of the song.

Having a song as part of one of the most-anticipated films of the year is just part of Combs’ superstar career, one that is far more than he ever dreamed possible for himself.

“It’s just surreal,” Combs told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I feel like I get to live so many amazing, surreal moments. And, I’m really thankful for that for sure. It’s crazy.”

Combs is currently on his Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour, where he set a new milestone for himself when he performed in front of more than 80,000 people at University Park, Pennsylvania.

“Biggest show I’ve played in my life – over 80k people,” Combs posted on social media. “Unbelievable. Thank you, State College, for a show we’ll never forget.”

In addition to writing and recording more music, and performing all over the country, the 34-year-old is also putting the finishing touches on his Category 10 bar, taking over where the Wildhorse Saloon used to be.

“Cat 10 is going to be a place that artists of all levels want to play downtown,” Combs explained. “We are building a spot where we can put on a high-level touring act show one night and a songwriter showcase the next. There isn’t anything like this venue, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”

Combs also plans on honoring songwriters with at least part of the 67,000-square-foot space.

“It’s important for me, I think, to have opportunities as a songwriter to showcase your ability,” Combs explained. “I remember just being able to play for other songwriters was a huge thing for me. So I think having a very, very, very high-end songwriters night would be something that I would love, for new artists to come and be able to play their favorite song, or the best song that they have in front of other songwriters.”

The North Carolina native will head to the ACM Awards next week, where he leads the list of nominees with eight nods, including one for the night’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year.

Combs’ last album. Gettin’ Old, was released in 2023. The record includes his latest single, “Where the Wild Things Are.”
