Thomas Rhett Drops ‘Merry Christmas, Y’all’ Holiday Collection

The holidays are coming early for Thomas Rhett fans. The singer just dropped a four-song collection of songs, Merry Christmas, Y’all, marking his first Christmas release. The new set of tunes includes “Winter Wonderland,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time Of the Year,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.”

“I love everything about Christmas – there’s nothing like the holiday season,” Rhett explains. “I wanted to record some of the Christmas songs that my family and I enjoy every year. I hope this music gets everyone in the holiday spirit!”

Rhett teased the Christmas project on social media, one day before it was announced.

It’s been a big week for Rhett. In addition to announcing the holiday project, Rhett also dropped the video for “Where We Started,” his duet with Katy Perry. The song is the title track of Rhett’s latest album, out now.

“Working with Katy has been a really collaborative process,” Rhett says. “From tracking the song in the studio, to performing it on American Idol, to this video – her input has made this whole experience really special for me.”

The father of four still can’t believe that he got the pop star to sing with him, something he never imagined would even be possible.

“I don’t know how this happened, but having a Katy Perry feature on this was mind-blowing to me,” Rhett shared with Everything Nash and other outlets during a virtual media event. “Allison Jones at the label sent it to her, and she immediately was like, ‘When do I put my vocal on it?’ And I’m sitting there going, ‘Really?’ I think my mind was just kind of blown. I’ve always been such a fan of hers, and to have her on here I think really escalated the emotion of that track. It’s a song that I think a lot of people are going to relate to, and a lot of people are really going to enjoy.”

Merry Christmas, Y’all is available to be streamed here. “Where We Started” and all of Rhett’s music can be found at ThomasRhett.com.
