Zach Williams and for KING & COUNTRY are among the artists who took home trophies at the K-Love Fan Awards. Both acts scored double wins during the ceremony, with Williams winning Male Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, for his “There Was Jesus” collaboration with Dolly Parton. for KING & COUNTRY won for both Group of the Year and Artist of the Year.

“This was a shock, I’m going to be honest … This is pretty special to me, ” Williams said after winning two trophies. “To be gone a year, away from shows, away from fans, this is a special night. You could tell out there. There’s an energy in that room. There’s something God’s doing, and it’s awesome to be able to be a part of it.”

Matthew West, who was also nominated for Male Artist of the Year, hosted the ceremony, and also performed “Truth Be Told” with his good friend, Carly Pearce.

“I have always been a fan of Carly Pearce, ever since she broke through in the country music industry,” West told CCM. “I love country music, and I kind of moonlight as a country songwriter from time to time. But I’ve always loved her music, and I wanted an honest voice to join me on a song about honesty, and I couldn’t think of anybody who had a voice more honest than Carly Pearce, and thankfully she said yes.”

“I’ve been a huge fan of Matthew’s, and I love Christian music very much,” Pearce added. “I’d been wanting to get in to some sort of collaboration for a while; I had been praying about it. When my team called me, and I obviously knew the song, I said, ‘Oh my goodness, this feels so right.'”
