The hits keep coming for Alexandra Kay, who has another new single out soon. The singer-songwriter announces that “Backroad Therapy” will be out on Friday, October 28.
“The next time you want to drive to his house at 3:00 in the morning, don’t. Try this instead,” Kay shared on TikTok, along with a snippet of her new song.

“Backroad Therapy” follows “Skip This Part,” with Kay releasing a movie-like video to go along with the song.
“Patrick Toehill was the director, and he was absolutely amazing to work with, and his entire crew was amazing to work with,” Kay shared. “We’re going to be releasing a behind-the-scenes video in which you can see all of that, everything that went into that day, and all the hard work that everybody put in. We really do have a blast together. So much fun having the entire crew that has got me where I am in the video. Not the whole crew, but a lot of people that I love and care about.”
Kay will have several chances to perform “Backroad Therapy,” “Skip This Part” and more. The Illinois native will join Clay Walker and Tracy Lawrence, to serve as the opening act on their co-headlining tour, beginning on November 3.
“She is such a kind person. It’s great to see that with a new artist,” Walker boasted to Everything Nash, sharing how thoughtful Kay is, even off the stage. “After we had done some shows together, she sent Tracy a bottle of whiskey, and sent me a bottle of wine. It was just really super kind, super unexpected. I call that class. She’s got a lot of class.”
Kay will also make her long-awaited Grand Ole Opry debut on November 19.
“It’s really real. That’s crazy,” an emotional Kay said when her parents surprised her with the good news. “I am so happy … I really thought I wasn’t going to get to do that, ever.”
