Brandon Davis Shares the Sweet Story Behind His Love Song, ‘Destiny’ [WATCH]

Brandon Davis‘ career is soaring, but it almost ended before it began. The rising star was nearly killed three years ago in a car accident, an accident he miraculously survived, thanks in large part to his wife, Destiny.

“In 2019, this woman almost lost me to a distracted driver,” Davis says in a video shared on TikTok. “I was hit head on and had to have life saving surgery followed by a lengthy hospital stay and months of healing. She never left my side and at 20 weeks pregnant with our fourth, she cared for me and our three others with such grace. When my faith was weak, she prayed with me. And when I told her I wanted to chase my dreams, that life was too short not to…she made my dreams happen and fully supported my decision. So I wrote her this song, and this was the first time she heard it.”

Davis, who shows Destiny hearing the song named after her for the first time in the TikTok video, released another song earlier this year, “Forever and Always,” also inspired by his adoring spouse as well.

“‘Forever and Always’ is the very first song I ever wrote for my wife back in 2017,” Davis explained on YouTube of the inspiration behind the touching love song. “When it came time for our wedding day, I managed to slip a copy of the song I had cut live with my family band to the DJ for our first dance without my wife knowing. At the time, it was the only way I could afford to have a recorded version of the song for our first dance.

“Holding her close in that moment when the song first started to play is a memory I’ll never forget for the rest of my life,” he continues. “I’m so thankful to finally be able to share this song with the rest of the world the way it was meant to be heard.”

Davis was able to earn plenty more fans earlier this year, when he opened for Tim McGraw on his McGraw Tour 2022.

“Words can not describe how thankful I am to have had the chance to learn from one of the greatest in country music these past 6 weeks,” Davis said on social media when the tour ended. “Tim McGraw thank you… thank you for taking a chance on me, thank you for welcoming us with open arms, thank you for inspiring 6 year old me in the back of my mama’s car to sing my heart out every chance I got. This experience has been one I’ll never forget and I will forever be thankful for! Thank you just isn’t enough.”

Davis’ latest project, his Hearts Don’t Rust acoustic EP is out now. Davis premiered the video for “Destiny” earlier this year. See the stunning video below. Find music and tour dates at BrandonDavisMusic.com.
