Carly Pearce Shares Details On Her Upcoming New Album [EXCLUSIVE]

New music is coming from Carly Pearce, and likely soon. The Grand Ole Opry member, who previously said her “What He Didn’t Do” single would be the last release from her 29: Written in Stone album, says she is ready to move on to a new musical chapter. Now happily dating Riley King, Pearce vows to move past the heartbreak that wove through the songs on her latest record, and celebrate her current happiness instead.

“I just don’t think I can be 29 and divorced forever,” Pearce tells Everything Nash, adding that she is already writing for what will be her fourth project. “I’m really excited about it. I write from where I am in my life. So I think that you’re gonna see this new season of life for me, and more confidence in the kind of country music that I make, and really just waving my flag in that.”

Pearce also hints that her next set of tunes will be influenced not by the sadness of the end of her marriage to Michael Ray, but her happiness in her romance with King.

“I think you’ll see the beauty of falling in love again, but also the hardships that come with trusting somebody again, and that push and pull of what that looks like,” Pearce hints. “So I think it’s gonna be just, you’ll know exactly where I’m at in my life.”

Pearce will end the 29 chapter in a big way, with two back-to-back shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on October 26 and 27. The Kentucky native planned on only doing one show, but when it quickly sold-out, she added a second night.

“Of course, when we put out the first night, it was like, we’ll just see how it goes,” Pearce recalls. “And within an hour, we were able to put the other one on sale. All the awards and the number ones and the fun hosting things and all that stuff is super fun. But at the end of the day, selling hard tickets is the name of the game. So to be able to do that is really exciting.

“That’ll be kind of my last hurrah of the year,” she continues. “And it feels a little bit like I’m getting to end my 29 journey — obviously, I’ll be singing these songs until I’m dead — but just as a whole album, as a cycle of life, I’m getting to end it on such a prestigious event. So it feels really awesome.”

Pearce will spend part of 2023 opening for Blake Shelton, on his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour. Find all of Pearce’s music and tour dates at CarlyPearce.com.
