Underwood has three CMA Awards nominations, including for the night’s highest honor, Entertainer of the Year.

“Obviously [I’m] super excited,” Underwood shared with her record label. “I knew that the nominations were coming out the next morning, but by the time the next morning got there I totally forgot and was going about my day. Then I looked at my phone and I had text messages and I was like, ‘Oh! Nice!’ It was kind of nice to not be anticipating [because] then I would have been nervous.”

The live broadcast will begin with a star-studded tribute to Loretta Lynn, who passed away on October 4. Wilson leads the list of nominees with six nods, followed by  Ashley McBryde, Pearce and Chris Stapleton,

Bryan and Peyton Manning will serve as hosts of the 2022 CMA Awards. The 2022 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 9, at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
