Chapel Hart Updates Fans on Danica Hart’s Recovery After Surgery

Chapel Hart‘s Danica Hart is, fortunately, on the mend after having an undisclosed surgery, related to her vocal cords, last month. The lead singer says she is recovering well, and ready to return to performing as soon as she is cleared by the doctors. Danica had been placed on vocal rest, but revealed that she was allowed by her doctors to return to one of her favorite pastimes — fishing — if she could do so quietly.

“Hey y’all sorry to keep you waiting,” the group posted on social media. “Danica has been on cloud 9 today. She finally got to go fishing!!!!!! She has been talking a little but still on vocal rest (doctor’s orders). She’s ready to be out and about and is persistent that she’s ready for Mardi Gras season and King Cake. Overall she said she ‘s doing great and she loves y’all and misses y’all and can’t wait to make a video where she is talking. Soon! Keep those prayers a rollin’ in!!!”

The Facebook post also included a sign Danica was holding, revealing that her next doctor’s appointment was on Monday, November 14.

Chapel Hart, which also includes Danica’s sister, Devynn Hart, and cousin Trea Swindle, rose to prominence after earning a collective golden buzzer from all four judges plus Terry Crews on America’s Got Talent. Chapel Hart landed in the Top 5 on AGT, performing with Darius Rucker for the star-studded finale.

Chapel Hart also appears with Rucker on his current single, “Ol’ Church Hymn,” from his forthcoming new album, Carolyn’s Boy, scheduled to be released in 2023.

“Like so many people, I was blown away when I saw Chapel Hart’s original response to ‘Jolene,’” Rucker said, referring to their original song, “You Can Have Him Jolene,” which they performed during their America’s Got Talent audition. “I was recording ‘Ol’ Church Hymn’ at the time and instantly had this vision of it becoming a duet once I heard their voices. I’m so thankful they said yes to singing on it with me, and I can’t wait to see the huge career they’re going to have.”

Chapel Hart’s next scheduled performance is in Biloxi, Mississippi on November 30. They are also scheduled to return for another performance at the Grand Ole Opry on December 3. Tour updates can be found on their website.
