Home Free has added their gorgeous harmonies to one of Zac Brown Band‘s biggest hits. The five-man group just shared the video for “Colder Weather,” first released by Zac Brown Band in 2010. The song appears on Home Free’s just-released album, AS SEEN ON TV.
“These days, our albums are mostly originals. But we release so much music, and we’re always releasing music videos on YouTube,” Tim Foust recently told Everything Nash, explaining the inspiration behind all of the songs on AS SEEN ON TV, including “Colder Weather.” “So some of those end up being covers as well. ’cause we just love putting our spin on songs we love.”
Home Free is currently on their Home Free For The Holidays, crossing the country spreading Christmas cheer. It’s a sacrifice for the five members, to spend time away from their families, but one they willingly make because of their loyal fans.
“It means a lot to the fans,” Adam Chance says. “It’s kind of our tradition to be out on the road for Christmas, and it means a lot to them. So it’s good for us, and we are able to get back home in time for Christmas Day.”
Home Free just announced their 2024 Crazy(er) Life Tour, which will not have as many dates as their previous tours.
“The last almost 10 years, we’ve been beating ourselves up trying to get to as many places as possible on tour,” Home Free said when announcing the tour. “It’s taken a real toll on our physical and mental healths as well as those of our families. So that means that this year and going forward, we’re going to be touring a little bit less. It’s not a decision we take lightly, but it’s an important one to make sure we maintain our longevity as both humans and artists.
“What that means for you is that if you are ANYWHERE even relatively close to one of our tour stops, you should be doing everything you can to make it to that stop if you want to experience our music live,” they added. “It’s unlikely we’ll be coming back to near each stop anytime soon.”
