Home Free is back with another video! The five-man group just dropped a scenic video for “Road Sweet Road.” The song is the first track from their latest album, So Long Dixie, created largely when the group was home because of the pandemic.
“Downtime these past couple years combined with inspiration from touring again, got Tim [Foust] and Austin [Brown] writing,” Home Free said of their new project. “We all listened and had an idea. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something different and uniquely ours. This collection of songs we feel not only tells great stories, but still holds true to our style you all know and love.”
Home Free named their fall tour the Road Sweet Road Tour in honor of the song. They recently announced that they were extending the tour into 2023, due to fan demand.
Home Free is currently on their Home Free Family Christmas Tour, with Texas Hill, Caroline Jones, Brooke Eden, Abby Anderson and Ernie Halter. The tour includes a stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Friday, December 23. Texas Hill, Anderson, and Eden will join Home Free for the Nashville show, along with Mark Wills. Home Free previously collaborated with Wills on his early hit, “Don’t Laugh At Me.”
