Reba McEntire Announces Reba: Live In Concert Tour

It’s been a long wait, but Reba McEntire is finally hitting the road! The Country Music Hall of Fame member announces her Reba: Live In Concert Tour, kicking off on November 26 with two back-to-back shows in Durant, Oklahoma. McEntire will be joined for the tour by a rotating list of female acts. including Brandy Clark, Hannah Dasher, Caylee Hammack, Reyna Roberts, Cailtyn Smith, Brittney Spencer and Tenille Townes.

McEntire originally planned on touring in 2020, which was of course postponed because of the pandemic. In April, she said the Live In Concert Tour dates would be moved to 2022, out of an abundance of caution.

“We’ve waited as long as we possibly could to make a decision, but unfortunately we’re not going to be able to play our 2021 Reba: Live In Concert dates,” McEntire said at the time. “As much as I wish we could get back out on the road, it’s just not possible yet. However, don’t worry…we are going to reschedule the dates for 2022. We cannot wait to get back out on the road and bring you our brand new show! If you’ve got your tickets, hang on to them – they’ll be good for the new dates.”

Now that McEntire has decided to start her tour next month, the 66-year-old says she has some weight to lose, thanks to how she and her boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, spent their time together during the pandemic.

“We’ve had to have three fittings because of my COVID weight,” McEntire tells People. “Everybody is trying out new recipes, and Rex and I love to cook. Then we got on a Sonic binge, and every time we have a hamburger, I get to have tater tots. It’s going to be a hard time losing the weight.”

The news comes only a couple of days after McEntire’s three-box set, REVIVED REMIXED REVISITED, was released. The collection includes her new duet, “Does He Love You,” featuring  Dolly Parton.

“I asked her when we were shooting the video,” McEntire says on Apple Music Country’s Proud Radio with Hunter Kelly. “She said, ‘I just sing what I feel.’ I said, ‘How did you come up with when you came in and all that?’ She said, ‘I just sing what I feel.’ And I loved it. I don’t know how many takes she did. Probably one. It was so powerful when she does come on strong, [on] ‘when I’m deceiving myself.’ It was just, oh my gosh, [it] gave me chills. And I sat there the first time I heard it, I said, ‘Play it again.’”
