Tipsy Scoop Toasts Nashville With Creative Boozy Flavors

Tipsy Scoop combines two favorite treats, liquor and ice cream, into one delicious dessert. The Tipsy Scoop ice cream, which comes in a variety of flavors, such as Dark Chocolate Whiskey Salted Caramel and Mango Margarita Sorbet, is currently offered in the stunning L27 Rooftop Lounge, located at the top of the Westin Hotel in downtown Nashville.

Tipsy Scoop, based in New York City, already has numerous other locations, but felt that Nashville was the ideal area to expand.

“We love Nashville and have had our eye on expanding to Music City for a while!” Melissa Tavss, Founder and Owner of Tipsy Scoop, says. “Nashville has such an amazing food and drinks scene, in addition to being a popular vacation destination for our key demographic, so it really is a perfect fit. The timing aligned with our expanded delivery into several major cities this fall utilizing the ghost kitchen concept; our ice cream is stored in cold storage facilities around Nashville and drivers from popular delivery platforms like UberEats, DoorDash, etc. pick up from the facilities and deliver right to consumers. Who doesn’t want a late night boozy ice cream delivery after a night out on Broadway?”

Tavss correctly surmised that Music City seemed primed for a concept like Tipsy Scoop, thanks in part to its bustling food and drinks scene.

“Nashville is all about sharing good food, drinks and experiences,” Tavss says. “We’ve loved talking to Nashville natives, especially those in the food scene, and getting their recommendations for local bars and restaurants that would be a good fit for Tipsy Scoop. Much like New York City, everyone seems to be on the lookout for the cool new place and is so down to try anything! And of course, we love the hot chicken!”

Although Tipsy Scoop is currently only planning on being in Nashville through September 22, Tavss has big plans to continue its expansion, which could hopefully include more time in Nashville.

“We’re working hard to expand distribution in major cities nationwide so everyone will be able to try our boozy ice cream!” Tavss says, adding that they are also rolling out messenger delivery in a few cities, including Portland, Minneapolis, Dallas, Chicago and more.

Tipsy Scoop also offered a limited-edition Piña Colada flavor, made with Kenny Chesney‘s own Blue Chari Rum. The Westin is located at 807 Clark Place. Currently, Tipsy Scoop in Nashville offers a small container for just $5, or a large container for $10. A large container with a shot of coconut rum, served with a shooter bottle flipped upside down in ice cream, is available for $20.

Tipsy Scoop will be at the L27 Rooftop Lounge through September 27. Find more information at TipsyScoop.com.
