Jimmie Allen Welcomes New Daughter: ‘We Couldn’t Be Happier’

Jimmie Allen is a dad — again! The 36-year-old, already a dad to son Aadyn, from a former relationship, and daughter Naomi, with his wife, Alexis Gale, just welcomed a new daughter! Zara James Allen was born on Saturday, October 16, in Nashville.

“The new addition to our family is here and we couldn’t be happier to finally meet her,” Allen wrote on social media, along with a photo of his brand-new baby girl. “Alexis you’re a champion, I love you and so thankful for you.”

In June, Allen announced that the couple was expecting again, shortly after their elaborate May wedding. Allen later revealed that they secretly got married in 2020, but postponed their big celebration until it was safer for everyone to travel.

“We were going to do it last year,” Allen previously told Everything Nash. “The only reason that we didn’t do it last year, it wasn’t really for COVID, [but] we were nervous about COVID. It was more about a lot of people lost their jobs, and we didn’t want people to financially stress out over coming to our wedding. We didn’t want people to come to the wedding and then put themselves in a financial bind, and we didn’t want to have it, and the people that were going to come not be able to come because of financial restrictions.”

Allen, who is currently competing on Dancing With the Stars, loves the security that he has, now that he has a wife.

“I wanted to be a dad and do music, that’s it,” Allen told  People. “I never wanted to get married. The whole husband thing was not something I ever wanted to do. But Alexis changed that. Now, I like it. It gives me some security — she can’t just be like, ‘I’m done.’ Divorce is a lot of paperwork!”

Allen recently released his Bettie James Deluxe album. His next scheduled concert is October 21 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Find all of his music and tour dates at JimmieAllenMusic.com.
