Less than a year after Old Dominion‘s Time, Tequila & Therapy was released, the band is back with a new project. Memory Lane (Sampler), featuring four new songs, is out now, The sampler includes their current single, “Memory Lane,” along with three brand-new songs: “Ain’t Got A Worry,” “Freedom Like You” and “Easier Said With Rum.”
“We’ve been working on so much new music, and the response to ‘Memory Lane’ has been so energizing that we decided we’re tired of sitting on it all!” Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey explains. “We’re so excited to share three more songs heading into the No Bad Vibes Tour and the next chapter in our musical journey.”
The new four-song collection comes out as “Memory Lane” becomes the most-added song at country radio.
“Sometimes, when I’m feeling overwhelmed, or missing someone, or maybe just feel a little nostalgic, there are places in my mind I can go that are full of memories of simpler times,” Ramsey says of the inspiration behind the song. “It’s a location, or a person, or a feeling that will always live in my memories and I can close my eyes and transport myself there anytime I want and experience it all again. I think we all have that time in our life that will remain forever perfect in our hearts. Sometimes we wish we could just stay there and never leave.”
Ramsey and Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi co-wrote all four songs on Memory Lane, while fellow band member Trevor Rosen co-wrote three of the four tracks. Jordan Davis co-wrote one of the tracks, “Freedom Like You.”
