Scotty McCreery is hitting the road again in 2022! The singer-songwriter, who embarked on his You Time Tour in 2021, will return to performing in front of his fans next year, with his Same Truck Tour, kicking off on January 20 in Raleigh, North Carolina. McCreery will be joined on the road by a rotating list of opening acts, including Tenille Arts, Callista Clark, Kameron Marlowe and King Calaway.
“I am looking forward to kicking off 2022 with my Same Truck Tour,” McCreery says of his upcoming trek. “I’m also glad to have Tenille, Callista, Kameron and King Calaway joining us for select dates. It’s gonna be a great way to start the new year!”
McCreery just released “Damn Strait,” his second single from his Same Truck album. The song, which follows his No. 1 hit, “You Time,” is one of only two that McCreery didn’t write for the record, but knew as soon as he heard it that he wanted to include it on the project.
“I was writing songs left and right,” McCreery tells Everything Nash. “We had the songs put on there, but for me, when I heard a song ‘Damn Strait,’ I immediately raised my hand and said, ‘Me, me, me.’ It’s such a cool song. It’s so cleverly written. And obviously, I’m a massive George Strait fan. It just sounded so much like me.”
The tour news comes shortly after the 28-year-old announced his first No. 1 hit, “Five More Minutes,” was being turned into a Hallmark Christmas movie. Tickets for McCreery’s Same Truck Tour will be available beginning on October 29 at 10:00 AM local time, at ScottyMcCreery.com.
