Thomas Rhett Announces Double Album, ‘Country Again’

Thomas Rhett might have been off the road in 2020, but he hasn’t been idle. The country music star just announced the release of a double album, Country Again. The first record, Country Again Side A, will be released next month. Rhett announced the news in a series of videos on his Instagram Stories.

“We got a double album coming out this year,” Rhett began in a video from his studio in his home. “It’s called Country Again Side A, and Side B is going to come out later on this year, but Side A comes out April the 30th. So much of this record was written right here with these amazing curtains, and a lot of y’all have been following along with me on Instagram these past couple years. I’ve shared a bunch of these songs with you on Instagram and on other social platforms, and man this is one of my favorite records I’ve ever gotten to make.”

Rhett released Center Point Road in 2019, but says this new album is more personal than that one — or anything else he has released.

“I feel so centered as a person,” Rhett reflected. “A lot of these songs were written about the lessons I’ve learned over this decade and and for sure in 2020, which I’m sure a lot of y’all have.”

Rhett already dropped two songs, “Want It Again” and “Growing Up,” ahead of the release of Country Again Side A.

“I’m just so excited that ‘Want It Again’ is out tonight, ‘Growing Up’ is out tonight,” Rhett gushed. “I really hope you all enjoy this record.”

Rhett concluded by thanking his fans, many who have been with him since the early days of his career.

“Thank you all,” Rhett said. “Thank you for inspiring me every day just to write better songs, to be a better singer, be a better artist. I just can’t wait for you to get your hands on this album, because I do think it’s some of my best work I’ve ever done. I love y’all. Thank you so much for your continued support. I can’t wait to see you all.”
