Tim McGraw Ushers In the Holidays With New Christmas Song

Tim McGraw is helping usher in the holidays with a new Christmas song, “Christmas All Over the World.” The song, which follows his “It Wasn’t His Child” release in 2020, was first announced on social media.

“There’s nothing that brings us all together quite like the holiday season. It’s almost that time of year… get into the spirit with “Christmas All Over The World,” available now!!” he wrote.

McGraw previously said “It Wasn’t His Child” had been a favorite of his for years before he finally recorded it on his own.

“‘It Wasn’t His Child’ was written by Skip Ewing, who I’m a big fan of,” McGraw explained. “I’ve known this song since, gosh, the late ’80s I guess, and I’ve performed it several times at Christmas, because it’s always one of my go-to Christmas songs to perform. I always loved it. I love the message and what it says, and the story behind it. It’s just so well-written. Skip’s a great writer.”

The Louisiana native loves everything about the holidays, especially the time with his wife, Faith Hill, and his three grown daughters.

“It is a little different for us around the holidays, when the girls have grown up … They always like to come home and stay at the house,” McGraw previously said. “We do a big tree. We always have Christmas Eve; our family tradition for years has been pasta and spaghetti and meatballs on Christmas Eve. That’s sort of my job as dad, is to prepare the spaghetti and meatballs. That’s gonna be a tradition that I’ve had since I was a child, and I hope it carries on with them.”

McGraw and Hill are currently filming 1883, the prequel to Yellowstone. The show will premiere on Paramount+ on December 19, just in time for the holidays. Find “Christmas All Over the World,” and all of McGraw’s music, by visiting his website.
