Dolly Parton’s Strawberry Pretzel Pie Ice Cream to Be Available Again

If you missed the chance to purchase Dolly Parton‘s custom-made Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, you’re in luck. The demand for the ice cream, which was made in limited quantities, caused the Jeni’s website to crash on the day the ice cream was made available, with some pints later listed for sale for as much as a thousand dollars on eBay.

Thankfully, Jeni’s will be offering the Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream for sale again, this time on Thursday, April 15, with two ways to purchase a pint.

“Strawberry Pretzel Pie pints will be available ONLINE ONLY this Thursday, April 15 — and there will be two ways to get a pint,” the statement reads. “Last week, many of you took off work or moved your schedule around to try and get a pint — and then our website crashed during the launch. We feel bad about that, and to make up for it as best as we can, we’re going to make more.

“At noon (ET) on 4/15, the remaining inventory from our first run — about 5,000 pints — will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, and ship in the coming weeks. After that, at 3 p.m. (ET), additional pints of Strawberry Pretzel Pie will be available for pre-order, with a ship date in August. (Making more is going to take time). You can find more details about the pre-order in the FAQs at jenis.com/dolly.”

It’s no wonder the Strawberry Pretzel Pie flavor sold out so quickly. In addition to it being created by Parton, with proceeds benefiting her Imagination Library, the combination of flavors sounds heavenly.

“Strawberry Pretzel Pie is our ode to the Queen of Country and a throwback to the triple decker pie from the potlucks of our youths,” Jeni’s says. “Layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce.”

At this time, Jeni’s has no plans to make more of the Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream following this limited-time order.
