Tim McGraw Still Gets Emotional Saying Goodbye to His 3 Daughters

Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill, successfully raised three daughters: 25-year-old Gracie, 23-year-old Maggie, and Audrey, 20. While all three young women are now living on their own, their proud father still gets emotional when they have to say goodbye after a visit.

“It’s tough, for sure,” the singer admits to Big Machine Label Group. “And it’s tough when they go away. I mean, I’m a crier anyway, so every time our girls have left and we’ve dropped them off somewhere, it’s always been tough. But you get used to it. You start getting excited about seeing where their career goes and where their life goes, and it’s fun to watch them grow into strong, independent young women.”

McGraw might be sad when they have to part ways, but not too sad. In fact, the 55-year-old is becoming quite accustomed to having an empty nest.

“The cool part is, Faith and I really have enjoyed our time alone now at home. We see the girls quite often. They come home and visit quite often, but now when they were there for about four or five days, we’re like, we kind of want our house back,” McGraw adds with a laugh.

McGraw’s career is still at an all-time high. He recently his “7500 OBO” single, which featured Audrey in the video, recently hit No. 1,

“When the treatment came in, they really wanted my youngest daughter, Audrey, who’s 19, because they had seen photos of Audrey, who does some modeling and stuff,” McGraw previously explained. “First of all I asked the boss, my wife, and then I asked Audrey, after Faith approved. That was one of the coolest things I’d done, is work with her in the video, and just watch her perform. and watch her act. My girls are the light of my life. They’re the sweetest things in the world, and I’m just so proud of her.”

“7500 OBO” is from McGraw’s latest Here on Earth album, released in 2020, but the Louisiana native reveals he is hard at work on a new album.

“I’m in the middle of it,” McGraw revealed on Country Countdown USA. “I’ve probably mixed eight so far, and will record a few more soon. I’m always looking to beat what I did last time. I’m sure we’ll have something off the new album here before too long. I don’t know when the album will drop.”
